Our History
In 1971 Philip Matthee & Co Attorneys (as it was known then) opened its doors in Fochville with one file and a receptionist. Over the years the firm expanded and is still the oldest existing firm of attorneys in Fochville.
After the death of the founder, Philippus Johannes Matthee in the year 2000 the name of the firm was changed to keep track of modern trends and became known as Matthee Attorneys. The present owner Dawid Matthee (son of the founder) is an Attorney, Notary, Conveyancer And Registered Associated Valuer.
The firm is currently on the panels of both ABSA Bank and First National Bank with trust accounts at both banks.
Matthee Attorneys is served by the owners, Attorneys Dawid Matthee and Philip Matthee who is also Conveyancer, and supporting staff.
The firm currently specializes in all property and estate-related matters. We strive towards providing excellent service to dispose of property transactions expeditiously and communicate effectively with our clients and business partners. Matthee Attorneys and its personnel are ideally suited to undertake any property-related work and can guarantee that property transfers will be dispensed with in a professional and functional manner.
